Limits of Architecture in Outer Space: Günay Erdem Architects won an architectural design competition for International Moon Base
“Wave”, in its essence is a sundial. Different than a traditional sundial, it takes the human as an element of this hundreds years old scientific discovery and presents it in a new light. As the representer of the time in the clock, Wave leaves the person in their thoughts about time and space. If you come in a group, it offers an experimental seating area. The form takes it inspiration from the imagination of sun rays hitting the ground and then getting back up as a wave. The production process of Wave is the cutting of stone blocks with CNC machines and then sticking to each other by supporting them with anchor rods in accordance with the project in the field.
